Due to the stressors in life, people, especially women, tend to lose a lot of hair. Whether it’s stress about school, bills, drama, maintaining your relationships with others or parenting kids, life can be a real pain. Thankfully, there are many new hair growth treatments, supplements, and products out there to help you maintain your fro.
The "Bosley Bos Revive Hair Growth Shampoo" has been my go-to. I first started using this product around May, when the school year was coming to a close. My hair started thinning out towards the end of 2014, which is also when I found out I was anemic and when I started to undergo a lot of stress from school and everyday life. At this point, I was in desperate need of getting my long, thick strands back. Still to this day, my hair is on the thinner side, but I've definitely made some progress in not losing as much hair as I used to. Bosley is one of the most trusted names in hair loss restoration. The company is a world leader in hair transplant surgery and has been around since 1974. The "LifeXtend Complex" ingredient hydrates and nourishes while strengthening and fortifying the follicles and hair shaft for thicker, fuller-looking hair. It's gentle and offers safer cleansing without harmful ingredients. It promotes healthy hair growth, is vegan, sulfate-free, and paraben-free. The LifeXtend complex contains pentapeptides to help promote thicker-fuller looking hair.

Hop in the shower, shampoo, condition, done! If this is the way you shower, did you know you're showering wrong?
Condition you hair. FIRST. If you have hair longer than shoulder-length, this is for you. If you have an oily scalp, DO NOT put conditioner on your roots. Concentrate on the mid length to ends. Let it sit in your hair while you do other things like wash your face or body.
Next take your Bosley shampoo and put two quarter-sized amounts in your palm. Concentrate on your roots for this otherwise you'll dry your strands out (conditioner has ingredients in it that are just enough to clean your strands without shampoo). You'll notice that it lathers up pretty easily! Rinse your hair with cold water, it will close your follicles up and seal in shine. After this, you're done!

The Verdict:
Before washing my hair "backwards" while using Bosley shampoo, I noticed after a few months that the new hair coming from the roots started becoming thicker. I noticed some hair growth, although I have to keep my hair shorter in order to see continuous progress. After washing my hair "backwards" for two weeks, I've noticed my hair has been shinier, less oily, and fuller. After I get out of the shower, I squeeze the water out of my hair with a towel, apply "Orlando Pita Argan Rejuvenating Hair Treatment Oil" to my ends, and one pump of "John Frieda Frizz Ease Hair Serum" to my ends as well, then comb it through and blow-dry my hair upside down. Blow-drying upside down also helps your hair to look fuller, although before washing my hair "backwards" it always fell the day after and looked oily.
Other Hair Growth Remedies:
Along with the thin hair on my head, I've always had super short, thin eyelashes and blonde, thin eyebrows that stopped in the middle of my eye (they were pretty bad). Since March, I've used this concoction on both my eyebrows and eyelashes every night, and the results are phenomenal.
You will need:
- Castor Oil (helps quick hair growth)
- Coconut Oil (conditions hairs/lashes)
- Clean wand from an old mascara
Directions:
- In a tiny travel bottle, fill 3/4 with castor oil and 1/4 with coconut oil
- Shake to combine
- Insert mascara wand and apply to lashes and brows
- Leave overnight

Since using this simple concoction, my eyebrows have grown darker and have grown out longer. Wherever I apply the oil, the hair will grow. Not only are the hairs thicker, but they stop near the end of my eyes which is normally where everybody's stop. Since using it on my lashes, they've grown longer and fuller as well. You can even use this on your scalp hours prior to showering as well. When taking pictures in the past, you couldn't see my eyelashes because they were so short and thin, but now in photos I can actually see them. This simple trick still amazes me, because I had no idea achieving the look I wanted was so simple as to use an oil concoction every night.
Financially speaking, it is assumed that not everyone will be able to afford Bosley Bos Hair Shampoo, but there are also cheap affordable hair growth shampoos out there. If looking for more upscale or more effective products though, I would recommend the products mentioned above. Not everybody's hair is the same, so it'll take trial and error to find the products right for you. If still no luck, talk to your hairdresser to see which products they'd recommend for your hair type.
